Little Women

Based on the novel by American novelist Louisa May Alcott, Little Women is a partly auto-biographical coming-of-age story about sisterhood, dreams, independence, and the value of family.

Set during and after the Civil War (1861-1866), Little Women tells the story of the March family, principally the four daughters: traditional Meg, wild, aspiring writer Jo, timid Beth, and romantic Amy. With their beloved mother, Marmee, the girls struggle and grow as a family in Concord, Massachusetts, while their father is serving in the war as a Union Army  chaplain. The musical celebrates the bonds of sisterhood—and the individual paths of the women who form the March family. It’s a celebration of love, humor, connection, strength, sacrifice…and, above all, hope.
